Poland (2020): Short vacation on the Baltic Sea!

Departure

Tuesday we got up early so we could eat quickly, pack up and leave. This was made more difficult for us because it was always drizzling and the weather was getting more and more difficult. But since it was now during the week and the Polish summer holidays were over since the weekend, we had plenty of space to put everything together. While setting up the tent still had “wow” moments (due to the size of the interior and useful functions), taking it down was rather frustrating. That was because we had several layers of tarpaulin that had to be folded up so that they fit back into the tent bag. We needed two attempts to do this. Another misfortune was that one of the support poles broke apart when we pulled it out of the tent holder (-> case for advertising).

There is not much that is exciting to report about the journey itself. On the still Polish side we stopped at a side stand where Nathalie bought several glasses with wild blueberries. And on a motorway road sign, we noticed how the sign was almost falling apart. After about 5 hours we were in Jena (where we dropped René) and then arrived in Weimar. We were about an hour faster than on the outward journey to Poland, which was probably due to the fact that there was less traffic during the week than at the weekend. The only stupid thing was that I was flashed once on the tram from Jena to Weimar…
